Planning

So, next few checks I have to make plans for some vacation time with daughter, including road trips. Maybe a hotel here and there. Not as easy as it sounds because it also includes the seat belt assembly.

Daughter has been asking for her own camera like mine and I'm going to try and make that happen. Price has come down a little since I bought mine, so it's more possible. Would like to get that for her before vacation, so she has things to immediately take pictures of. Of course, it also must include a memory card but those have also gotten cheaper. Probably another set of rechargeable batteries.

Daughter has said she's been having a hard time sleeping lately. Mostly the heat. Happy to say I got it nice and cool in here last night and she is sleeping late this morning. (Just glad she seems comfortable.)

I need to start spending as much time as I can working on the house. That's a lot more possible with the swamp cooler working. Cooler and with a healthy humidity level throughout the house now. I am going to make the trade between higher electric bill and comfort, going for comfort. Once I get certain things in place, that will no longer be such a conflict.

I have been spending way too much time watching TV for a while now. Need to back off that and do as I used to. Pick a very few shows I really like and watch those and the news. And maybe record those shows to watch on a set schedule which works with other things.

Money for vacation does mean putting off some other purchases, like large tools I was hoping to get. Like a table planer and jig saw. That's okay, they can wait. Daughter is growing up fast and I have much more limited time with her than with tools. Just makes some improvements more rough or more gradual.

Some things I really need to make a priority. Internal improvements for organizing. Insulation. And building the ramp for the front. Stairs are falling apart. I could build new wooden stairs right now but would rather push up plans for a concrete ramp, which would cost maybe $60 or less to build. Can do it in one day once I get the supplies. Hard work but very much worth it.

Been considering plans for quite some time for renovation the kitchen counters. I want to do set in place concrete. (no way I could life an entire counter in place by myself if it was set somewhere else.) Not much information really available except for those trying to sell certain products. Finally figured out how I can do this as an overlay to existing counters for support. So, going to do that in the fairly near future. It will not cost much. Most expensive supplies will be for polishing and sealing.
