Getting back around to buying tools for the house and yard again. Got a larger air compressor and a pole saw this weekend. The old air compressor is still good, so I can sell that. The pole saw is a little expensive but is something which should last for many years, since it is rarely used.
Going to spend more money later on for more woodworking tools. Planer first of all. Possibly at a later date a lathe and table router. Even the planer won't be for a few weeks. I want to maintain and build up savings before that and not dip into them for the purpose of that or vacation if it can be helped.
Daughter did not want to do much this weekend. Worked on a project for school, did some reading. We really need to get out. I guess I am going to have to stop letting it be a choice.
It's here. She's a teenager.
I was rather lazy this weekend, myself. Then again, I do like my weekend being a weekend. So I cannot say too much about the kid. On the other hand, I am regaining energy. Need to make a prioritized list of things to do. Some things on the slate for this week are finishing the bathroom walls. Have not finished that because it does involve some re-wiring. The ceiling light. Days are longer, so I can get that done during the week. I prefer doing sheetrock work during the week because of the mess it causes.
The air compressor will come in handy for painting and some other projects once I get some air tools to go with it. The old one was 3 gal capacity and 1/3 HP. The new one is 10 gal and 2.5 HP, so larger and fills much faster. Can maintain air pressure for some projects, at least painting, even if the tank runs empty. Though I know it will not run continuously for painting.
I think this week is going to be a huge (or as he says, "yuuuge") turnaround for Bernie Sanders! Just today he had three rallies in Seattle which attracted 60,000 people! One city, one day! Mainstream media has not even mentioned it. Of course, they do not like Bernie because they are all major corporations who will have to pay taxes and living wages if he is elected. So they try to ignore him, unless they are trying to discredit him. Which is really hard to do, since there are no scandals to find in his past.
Oh, I came out of my depression the other day once I got some sleep. I was very irritable on Friday but that could have been because I was dealing with complete idiots on the phone. People who could not read or spell. One doctor whom I had to explain what range of motion is for a patient's hip. Other people whom I knew were just outright lying about clinical information. I really wish I could refer some of these people to be audited by the insurance companies and the government.
