I finally finished working on the swamp cooler. Took until almost 10 PM to finish it. My plans had been to use the pulley from the old motor. Should have known better and tried to take it apart before even starting. The hex bolt was stripped and I couldn't remove the old pulley. So, had to make another run to Home Depot for a new pulley. It was nearly dark when I got home but I grabbed a flashlight and kept going.
I need to add a water cutoff to the irrigation zone in the front yard because that zone is on the same line as the feed line for the swamp cooler. Also going to put a bleed-off line back in place, which I had removed.
I haven't seen any more mineral build up from using well water than from municipal water. If anything, there's less mineral buildup. With the filter setup I have in place now, there should be even less.
Not so happy with the work arrangement for the new health plan I got trained for yesterday. I was completely inundated with calls for that health plan today, the day after I was trained and only had 90 minutes of fax cases under my belt for that plan. My biggest concern right now is what it could do to my audit if I make any mistakes. Voiced that concern to my trainer today and she said to notify my supervisor, who is on vacation. She said it's not fair that I should get bombed like that.
As I write this, I am starting to feel a big difference in the temperature in here from the swamp cooler. The added humidity helps the window air conditioner work better.
Of course, spending so much time on the swamp cooler, I never got to daughter's room tonight. But with that fixed, it will make it more comfortable to work in there.
