Swimming

Took daughter swimming today. She likes the new swimsuit. We had fun, picked up a couple of new toys for the swimming pool at Dollar Tree before we went to the pool.

I told her the truth about the dogs this weekend. Of all the dogs, she asked about the one that was killed before any other dog. Had to tell the truth. Telling a lie now would lead to more lies later. Like what happened to the oldest female when I take her to the shelter. If I told her the dog ran away, she would be looking for her for years, hoping she was okay. If I told her someone adopted the puppy, she would ask if we could visit and make sure the pup was okay. 

It was hard for both of us to talk about it. However, she instantly agreed with my decision to take the older female to the shelter as soon as her puppies are weened. The oldest dog attacked the younger female again today. Daughter was trying to think of a way we could take her to the shelter now, to keep the other dogs safe. Maybe even letting the younger female nurse the puppies. I can't be sure that would work. So the older female is now tied on the long line to the fence. At least that way the other dogs know her space and can avoid her. 

I got the fertilizer injector valve installed today. Once I patch the lines and set them up as needed for the year I can run some acid through the lines and the system will be ready for the year. Should be able to get al that done tomorrow. At least for the two back zones. If I have enough connectors, have the whole system ready to go. Can plant out cool weather crops on Tue evening. Though I have a lot of work on different zones, so probably get one zone at a time running. Right now, the two main garden zones are what need attention. Should have it all done inside of a week or so.
