Rebound

Got up rather early yesterday. So, of course last night I had a hard time getting to sleep and then kept waking up. Next week is going to be a challenge, after the time change.

The issues going on in AZ regarding gay rights versus businesses not wanting to serve them based on religious views reminds me of actions I have taken as a nurse. I have been known to gather religious materials piled at a nurses station and remove them. Not from the facility. I placed them where they were still available. However, I refused to have them at the nurses station, where they would make some patients feel less welcome or even judged. For the same reason, I have aborted attempts at using terminology or the wearing of certain items at various facilities which made some people uncomfortable. I do not care what your religion is, as a nurse or other medical professional, it is NOT your role to propagate your religion. If you want to do that, you do it on your time and away from the medical facility. 

The same is true if you are buying a burger or having your tire changed. Business and religion are separate entities. Even Jesus taught that.
