My case count dropped a bit today. Only had 76 cases. Not great but not bad. Still ahead of the curve. I've had people who were in my class in CO ask me for advice.
Two big things happened today. One was that I got pulled from written cases to phones most of the day. That wouldn't have been too bad but for the callers. Today was "because the doctor ordered it" day. Meaning the fact that the doctor wrote an order was supposed to be sufficient to get the test approved. Yeah, not so much. At one point, I spent more than 20 minutes on the phone with a doctor who tried to tell me how my job is third party and not necessary. Then he could not tell me what his own patient's pathology report or even anything about her physical exam! Basically, his biggest problem was that he just wants someone on the phone that he has some hope of manipulating.
I've explained multiple times now to various callers how the lungs are intensely sensitive to radiation and radiological studies balance the risk versus benefit.
Any way, going to try and make up the difference tomorrow. Picking up and extra 90 minutes in the morning. I'd still like to keep an average of 90 cases per day, if possible.
Had a ton of dog waste to pick up this evening. I prefer picking it up the night before trash pickup, so it doesn't stink up the whole area in front of the house.
Also had to treat the puppies for ticks. They had a lot of them in their ears. Got all the dogs treated. Going to look at the dollar store this weekend for flea and tick collars. If none there, check Family Dollar and Walmart for who is cheapest.
Adjusted the engine idle speed once I was done with the above. Hope that does the trick. It does fine when in neutral or park but in gear it tries to stall at stop lights.
