Got most of the garden formed. Had to do it in stages because the activity wore me out.
Had not yet decided on the final formation until today. Going to be six large rectangular mounds on the south and five on the north. I only have the center walkway which splits three into six on the south plus the last two on the north to finish.
Letting the sprinkler run right now to settle the soil.
I am making the trenches about three ft wide and a barrier trench around the does. Keep that tilled to deter grass invasion.
The soil is holding moisture better than ever. Last time I watered was Fri I think. Today the soil remained moist just an inch or so down. The tilling before now should have made it more dry if it was going to do that but it didn't. May mean less watering will be required this year. Keep an eye on it and adjust as necessary.
