Not getting anything done on the house today. Have to work this afternoon.
Did not sleep too well last night. Kept waking up and finally woke up around 7:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. That's okay, I don't need as much sleep as I did a year ago. Even 6 months ago.
Still minor symptoms of a respiratory infection but better than yesterday. Definitely caused by the carpet dust.
Looks like the Russian scare tactic is beginning to die a well deserved death. It's just starting but from here will gain steam. People are finally asking questions. Like, what does it matter if Flynn talked to the Russian ambassador? Isn't that what our government is supposed to do, talk to other governments? Go as far as saying Trump is a "Russian puppet". Okay. And? What does all that mean? That we become friends with Russia? That we trade with them? That we no longer keep thousands of troops and vehicles along the Russian border? There's no risk of Communism. Russia hasn't been Communist since 1991.
What all of that really means is that weapons manufacturers make less profit. The politicians in their pockets get fewer massive donations. We would no longer have a big boogeyman. (Of course, then our government would try to make us be in continuous terror of China and/or NK.) It means the government would not have something to divert the attention of the brainwashed masses.
What a concept. That our enemies become hunger, poverty, inequality, human rights abuses, lack of access to affordable healthcare. We could spend money on helping our people, on medical research, infrastructure.
