I did not get to the baseboards today. My knee was a lot more sore than I thought, once I got up and moving around. Especially on the ladder.
I did scrape the excess paint on the outside of the windows. That too a lot longer than expected because there was a lot of old caulking and stucco (not mine) and paint, which seemed to be oil based and hard as stone around the edges of the windows from past owners. Inside the windows took a little over an hour for ALL of them.
Any way, since my knee was sore, I started on things which put less stress on my knee. Painting doors and door frames, including the arches. Each one took two coats because I'm painting back on top of white.
Got most of the doors and frames completed. Only three doors and four frames left. Today I painted four doors and 11 frames or arches. Plus the carved posts just inside the front doorway.
Have to say on that, I am really happy. The house is truly looking the way I have wanted it to look. Almost.
I may still go ahead and finish the rest this evening. I had to soak all the painting supplies because I was painting for so long I had built up dried paint on the roller tray which was in the way. That black paint is the thickest paint I have ever used.
Probably won't write any more this evening unless it's on more introverted subjects.
