Okay, maybe I could keep my activity going but for what I was doing today.
Spent all day cutting and burning scrap wood in the yard. A lot of it would not be scrap but because I had to dismantle various things I have built over years, it is scrap now. Parts from the solarium, etc. Plus old branches which I would have run through the wood chipper and composted otherwise.
That was on top of the heat today. Which wasn't too bad unless you're spending much of the day next to a large fire. I did have to take a number of breaks just to cool down.
Still a lot more to do with that.
Had to take apart old trellises (frames were scrap wood) and roll up all the chicken wire to put out front. I put an ad on CL. One woman came and picked up some of it, also to use for trellises. There's still a lot left.
One thing made me kind of sad. Had to cut up the seesaw I made for daughter when I first moved in. She hasn't used it for years, of course. If anyone tried, they'd get splinters in their butts. But that was one of the first things I made after moving into the house. I am still rather proud of that design. It held up pretty well for a long time. Oh, how she loved her seesaws when she was little!
I know a lot of things I have built have been failures. Just have to consider them learning experiences. To a large degree, I don't believe in failure unless you either die from your mistake, kill someone or you just refuse to learn from them. I will beg off on some of my less successful ventures for lack of knowledge or resources. Especially money. My failures were never for lack of effort. I have learned from them and more information is available now than there was a few years ago online.
One thing I still tend to lack is patience.
Right now I'm cooling down. Need some dinner. Maybe if I regain some energy I'll get more done tonight. Though right now I kinda doubt it.
Still sucks having to do cooking, cleaning and laundry while trying to get these other things done. Better than working full time and trying to accomplish all this, though.
