Okay, set a new dental appointment for the denture specialist. I think the reason they require an initial appointment is basically a sales pitch. Trying to get you to go for the more expensive dentures/services/plans. That's okay. It will let me do better planning and know what the total cost will be.
Right now, since it looks like it's going to be weeks before I can get teeth pulled and longer than that to get dentures, I'm making plans for other needs.
After five years in the house, I finally ordered a leaf blower/vacuum/mulcher. For one thing, prices on those have come down. This one costs less than $50 and has a magnesium impeller. (Not the best but sure better than plastic!) Until now, has been preferable in some ways but not required because I could do it all manually. Now it's necessary because of the mulch. But will come in handy for spring to suck up all the damn seed pods from elm trees.
I've been trying to plan for both dental work and doing the insulation plus supplies for other projects so I would only have to rent a truck one time. Keeps looking like that's just not going to happen. Going to have to split things up and rent a truck twice. Aside from the insulation and blower, I need several large wood panels, lumber, at least 20 bags of concrete.. And that's only for the short term. That is for a whole list of projects which have piled up over time. I think that with renting a truck, I could manage everything for under $250. Biggest problem is time. Just going to have to suck it up and rent a truck on a Fri evening and get the supplies, unload the same night. Blech. Better make a well considered shopping list before doing that.
