Another bad day

Another bad day for work. Started on fax cases. New phone arrived. Hooked it up, then the main program that interfaces with the phone wouldn't start. Called IT and got that fixed. Then the call quality was so bad that I couldn't understand callers. Tried unplugging and replugging everything, restarting computer. Finally called IT again. Turned out several reviewers in Albuquerque were having the same problem. Gave up, went back to fax cases. Between the last two days I worked about as many cases as I normally work in one day.

If the problem is local, I expect it to take severals days to be fixed. 

Oh, well. 

Day two of canning. Canned one quart of salsa, 2 1/2 pints of jalapeños and processed 10 lbs of tomatoes for paste. Went and bought 11 more lbs of apples to preserve. The apples have to wait. Tomato paste takes a really long time to cook. 

I still have some hope for more tomatoes to grow in the garden. More flowers bloomed. It will be a while but that's okay. Rather have them late than not at all. In the meantime, just keep an eye out for tomatoes on sale. 

On the other hand, I really need to install an extra shelf in the pantry to make room for the additional jars. No complaints on that. 

The guy selling barrels was out of plastic barrels today but said he'll have more tomorrow. Have to call him to check.
