Wind

Not going to get the painting done today. The wind picked up and it may start raining.

Got half of the upper section done. Mostly the back wall remaining for that.

It is really not so easy to be standing on an extending ladder, wearing a paint respirator mask (which partially obstructs breathing), in the wind, while stretching your arms out to reach the walls, while holding a paint sprayer, for hours at a time. Gets tiring fairly quickly.

Bet my legs are sore again tomorrow. Plus the forecast says it may rain tomorrow also. I'll wait and see.

5PM-
Not sure what time I started this but it's now 5 PM. While I was writing earlier, the wind died down and the clouds dispersed a bit. Still gusting but I decided to get back out and keep working on it.

No, not going to finish it today but I did get the top section done on 3 of the four sides of the house. Last section is the shortest in height and length, so I don't need the extendable ladder for that. All the rest can be done with the A-frame ladder or at ground level. Much faster and easier.

I had to call it quits from exhaustion. Calves are killing me and my right arm was at muscle failure. Last few yards I had to paint for a minute, stop for a minute.

Painting on the extendable ladder, I have to go in one direction (also due to the wind) and use one arm all the way around in roughly 3-4 ft sections. Otherwise I'd wind up leaning the ladder on a section I had just painted. With the shorter ladder I can switch arms and paint longer sections at a time. It will still be rough on the legs but not as much because the rungs are larger.

If the weather holds up, I should be able to finish the painting tomorrow. Then maybe give myself a day off. Or at least half a day. Something like that. Haven't given myself a break since the 12th. So that's 15 days in a row I've been pushing myself. 16 if I do the painting tomorrow. I think I've earned a day off.
