Looks like I will be downsizing a bit. Few things won't fit in the pods. Like the sofa. It's too big.
That's okay. About time for a new sofa. Had this one for about 11 years now and the fabric is worn. I was going to get a slip cover for it after moving. Instead I will get a new sofa. A smaller one.
I already checked and there's a Big Lots in Montgomery with a furniture section. That's where I got this sofa. In fact, they have a sofa almost identical for only $25 more than I paid for this. I still want something smaller. This one is a pain to move and takes up too much space. Not like I have a lot of company to need that much seating, any way.
Maybe that will change in AL. Or maybe not. Wait and see.
So the first pod is loaded and the second one is 1/3 there. The following are all loaded: All furniture but my work bench (not sure that will fit), all large power tools, all the boxes from inside the house, all the bags with comforters and vacuum bags. Basically all I have left is the workshop and the shed.
I don't mind downsizing. I need to get rid of some crap and some things I have ditched were old and needed to be replaced. After I move, I want to keep things more simplified, easier to keep clean and organized.
The inside of the house sure looks different! Even sounds different. I had kind of forgotten how this house echoes with less stuff in it. Just typing on the keyboard the sound echoes.
For now I am laying off for the day. Really sore and tired. Maybe the soil will be drier and easier to carry stuff from the shed tomorrow.
