Got less done today than planned. However, part of that is for good reason.
Had to spend some amount of time (and money) on phone and internet today. Working on getting things together for my AL nursing license.
One thing is interesting. Checked on getting records for the DWI in 1995 and no records exist any more. Checked Bexar County, San Antonio and Leon Valley. Only legal record that came up was for my divorce in 1990. I had a suspicion and checked. Seems there have been lawsuits regarding breathalyzers in Texas. I did find several suits directly filed against Leon Valley. So my guess is the record was expunged.
Got school records requested.
Going to have to spend one day doing CE's for that requirement. Maybe two days but I think I can finish the requirement in one day. It's 24 CE's. Most of those give 2-3 CE units per "class". Takes an average of one hour or less for each one. Exhausting and boring as hell but I can do it.
Did the license verification. That was $30. Bastards.
Have to do the citizenship verification tomorrow morning. Or tonight if I can motivate myself.
Had to go get more paint. The black paint I had was exterior paint. High VOC, so not good for indoors. Painted the baseboards on two sides if the sunken living room and the fireplace. Fireplace came out really good. Baseboards need more touching up once they're dry.
I went ahead and got the paint for the bathroom.
That was the limit of what I got done. Plus a whole lot of writing. I can never control when the inspiration is going to hit me. It comes all at once.
Most important of all, I wrote an email to daughter. Told her some of the things I remember us talking about and doing together. Explained in very short terms why I do the political activism. I hope it hits a chord with her.
