So, last night I wrote a letter to the HR woman at work. Told her I have to withdraw from any more shifts for the time being.
On Sat when I worked, I was actually light-headed. Last night a little bit but not nearly as much.
I only had one more shift on the schedule for this month and that wasn't until the 22nd. Plenty of time to cover the shift. In addition, one nurse came back from maternity leave, a travel nurse friend extended her contract for a month, they brought in another travel nurse and hired one more. So they're not hurting for staff like they were. Oh and one nurse who said he was leaving stayed. (I think the job he thought he had hired someone else. Not the way he said it but he's a right-wing ex-military guy in his 50's that still has something to prove. Blech.)
I've been exhausted all day today but it feels like it's passing. Should be better off tomorrow. Had a hard time sleeping last night, still up at 5 AM.
So, putting the pedal down tomorrow. Have to discipline myself, step away from the computer and get things done. I think I can pack nearly the entire house in one day. Possibly with time to spare for more painting.
Since I moved the pods back to the 24th, I have enough time to stucco the outside of the house. Get that done after my paycheck this weekend. Also get more plastic packing boxes. I only need a few more. Mostly for tools. The workshop is going to be the biggest challenge to pack. That one may take a full day by itself.
Since the trial and error of the sunken living room, painting the rest of the house should go much faster. It does kind of make sense to spend the most time on the room which will be most visible and people will probably spend the most time in.
One mistake I was making was just thinking too much about what I need to do to the house instead of what's in the house. I was still thinking by reflex as though I would still be living here. It does suck a bit that I had boxes stacked up through the house for a long time after I moved in and now I will be navigating boxes again before moving out. However, I can consolidate them much better.
Getting to bed soon so I can get up at a decent hour. No more making excuses.
