I got most of the stucco done today. I have one more bag left and think that should cover it. Only a small upper portion of the outside living room is left to finish.
Unfortunately the pattern did not come out well. The house looks like it's melting. I think the best route would have been to start at the top and move down. I'm not sure. Going to try painting it and see if it looks better. To be honest, I don't really like the color of the stucco, any way. It already looks weathered and it's brand new.
Oh, well. I'll call it a learning experience. Even if the pattern sucks, it's better than the cracks and discolorations that were there before.
I'll finish the stucco and then start painting tomorrow. With the spray gun, I'm sure I can finish it in one day. The part that will suck will be taping all the windows. But I got paper to put on them and only have 8 windows. So it shouldn't take too long.
I am exhausted and sore. Had to go get long latex gloves because the stucco got in the sleeves of my work gloves and ate into my wrists. At one point both my wrists were bleeding from it. Then sand got in the wounds and I had to dig it out.
Too tired to cook. Going to go get a hamburger. Take a bath and take my medication.
