It's time to make a few revisions. My utility bills for this month were outrageous. Some of it can't be avoided. However, I've been keeping the furnace running too much to stay warm while I'm working. I need to do more to isolate my work space, so I can keep that space warmer and not waste energy on the rest of the house.
Going to get some movers blankets today. Put those up so they limit the flow of air into and out of my work area.
Like I've written before, in a few months I'll have the office back in use, so it will be less of a problem. Before I can do that I have to run new electrical cable (which means wall patching, also) and have to get a new telephone jack installed for that room. That room also has to have the floor re-done because it has some nasty old carpet in there. It's not a small project but one I can get done fairly rapidly once days are long enough.
Yes, I still hate doing things in the cold and the dark.
It sucks. I have a lot of caulking, patching and so forth to do around here. Yet I hate doing some of these things during the winter. Aside from the fact that if the weather is too cold, plaster, caulking and stucco don't set properly.
