Research

So, I've been doing some research on new cannabis strains which I read a small amount about at the doctors office yesterday.

From things I've heard and one episode of personal experience (which did not go well) a few years back, I had been under the impression that modern strains of cannabis had become so much stronger than 30 years ago. That was making me nervous.

However, recent research (mostly in other countries, especially the UK) have identified 85 different compounds in cannabis, many of which have therapeutic benefits. The only one which is seriously psychoactive is THC.

One major compound found is CBD. From what I have read, CBD is the second most abundant compound other than THC. It is also not hallucinogenic and is counteractive to the hallucinogenic properties of THC. The anti-inflammatory properties of cannabis have now been attributed to CBD. The higher the CBD level, the lower the THC level. New strains have been developed which have very little THC (I believe some strains with no THC) and high levels of CBD. Anti-anxiety properties have also been attributed to this compound without the neuroses and paranoia effects.

So, those will be the strains I will seek out most of all.

Work is picking up again. Finally! I had 75 cases today. Had I think 71 cases another day. Came in at 68 or 69 one day. Didn't work a full day yesterday.

Got out after work and cleaned up after the dogs and took the Christmas lights down from the roof. Have to get the rest of the decorations packed away tonight.

Still a little sore but nothing extreme. That's good, considering how far I pushed myself earlier this week at the gym. I can already feel a difference in my muscle mass in some parts of my body. Very happy about that.
