Went to the gym tonight. Now up to 130 lbs on bicep isolations, added tricep presses at also 130 lbs. Up to 250 on the back extension, which is the limit of that machine. I will admit I'm not doing a lot of repetitions at those weight levels but the fact that I am increasing weight stacks so quickly says my method is effective.
I changed up the exercises I'm doing for chest and abdomen, so weight levels are lower than I was doing but they are much more effective exercises. Chest and ab muscles are showing good definition. I expect I should have a well defined six pack in about two more weeks. Not like a wrestler or professional body builder but decent.
Never made it to the leg press tonight. The gym was a bit slower than many nights but there were a lot of people hanging out on machines, sitting and doing nothing at all.
I think the place should start slowing down a lot in the next week or two. All the people who want to hang out will get bored and vacate while the people who made New Year resolutions and haven't the stamina to stick with them will wander away more slowly. If they don't get immediate results they give up while they don't take the time or ask questions to learn how to maximize their results. I even see guys who obviously have some experience who do things really wrong if they are trying to build up.
Meanwhile, I increase my ability but still don't look like I can do anything near what I can do. It's a difference between muscle density and muscle mass. Mass does not necessarily equate to useable muscle. The best combination is mass and density but if you must choose between the two, density is better for useful muscle. Mass is better if you're focusing on appearance. But density also lasts much longer and regains easier.
I am now about 3 times faster on the ski machine than when I started the first week of this month, while going 3 times the distance. My heart rate remained around 120 at a near run.
On the heart rate issue, I actually credit some minor part of that to the CBD I received today. I used it as soon as I opened the mail. I think it decreased inflammation, which was causing my heart rate to accelerate. Though my heart rate has been coming down with repeated use of the machine.
The CBD also helped calm my digestion a bit. Before using it, I had some gastric rumbling going on and minor discomfort. Ten minutes after using it, those had calmed down considerably. No buzz involved. That does pose the question of how to know how much to use. From what I can tell, the time it is effective is about two hours.
Not going to call it any kind of wonder drug but from first evening of use, I will say it does seem to help me. Very hopeful to see what happens with long term use, as inflammation is reduced and hopefully appetite increased. It does not increase appetite like causing raging munchies, which I had somewhat actually hoped for. But as long as it calms my digestion so my appetite increases naturally I'll be happy.
