Sucralose

Since I've cut way back on sugar, did some reading. Turns out pure sucralose is 600 times sweeter than sugar. The Splenda and generics sold in stores is cut drastically with maltodextrin, which carries potential gastric side effects.

So, found pure sucralose on Amazon. No fillers. At 600 times sweeter than sugar, 125 grams equals 150 lbs of sugar. So, even after shipping, it saves a huge amount of money over sugar. It's about $27 after shipping for the sucralose. At common prices, 10 lbs of sugar would be somewhere around $75.

Of course, the trade-off is the learning curve.

Didn't do much this evening. Tired. Went and paid the mortgage payment. Cooked dinner. Get some house cleaning done in the morning.

So, after paying the mortgage, child support and gas bill, I have enough left for my usual budget for living expenses. I do have some slack figured in on that, so not cutting things too thin. Not living high on the hog but far from starving.

So, starting next paycheck, I can start moving ahead again. Have to balance things out so it's not like this week, getting hit hard one check and then light the next check. Keep it split more evenly. For now, it feels good to have the mortgage current and not have final notices streaming in.
