Seems the adult female isn't prejudiced. Today she attacked one of her own puppies. I intervened before she could do harm. But therein lies her pattern. She only attacks animals smaller and weaker than she is.
Ticks are all gone. Time for the adult female and her pups to go. Have to start work late or take off early to drive the adult female to the shelter.
Got the last nearly the last of the tomato mounds mulched. Only a few tomato plants there, so it was easy. Need one more bag of mulch to get part of one mound finished. Then I need some more 1x2's to build up more stake frames. Not much needed because most of that side of the garden still has the structures from last year.
Pulled all the bindweed that was identifiable inside the garden. Plus a lot of grass and a few other weeds.
Funny, at the point, the very top of the soil is crusting. However, only a fraction of an inch down, the soil is soft and remains moist where the drip system does drip.
I got a headache from work today. Lots of people yelling (no exaggeration) on the phone today. Mostly from the NE states. No reason for them to yell and nothing I did. They were yelling the moment I picked up the phone. After all that, I had no urge to pick up extra hours tomorrow.
