Misperception

I've been trying to take the older female dog to the shelter. However, been looking at the wrong website for the hours. I was looking at county, when I should have been looking at city. Turns out the city shelter is open 7:30 AM to 7 PM, 7 days a week. So, I can take her tomorrow evening. (The county shelter is only open Mon-Fri, 8-4:30.)

I did drag my butt off my chair and got some of the work done in daughter's room tonight. Got the main center supports for the drawers installed. Cut the wood for the front to back supports for the sliders. Takes 18 supports total, for 9 supports for the sliders. I still have two more nights to work on that stuff this week, so I think I should get some positive progress done. Finish it? Not really sure of that but going to really try.

One big part of planning is that I have to cut all the wood for all the drawers before I start cutting dadoes for bottom slats. That's going to be 72 pieces of wood to cut and keep organized. Plus I'm going to wind up with a small space that the drawers don't really fit. My only options are to make two drawers larger than the others or to make two smaller drawers to install at the top. Haven't decided yet. Leaning toward making two drawers larger. If I add two more drawers it would mean more supports, more slider and more handles. Plus the added drawers would be rather small.

Going to try and get all the messy work done tomorrow, so even if I don't finish by Fri evening, I can clean her room up and open it up for her to use to some degree. The dadoes are going to be the messiest part and produce a ton of sawdust. That's okay, make a good addition to the compost pile.
