Mind is running.
Looks like I got the right job at the right time. Considering the health problems and the condition I would not have known about otherwise, also got health insurance at the right time. As a result of the job. Right now, it's a serious benefit to be working at home.
I did inquire further with my supervisor about the requirements for a supervisor position today. She encouraged me further and said she thinks I would make a good supervisor. No real requirements or training within the company needed before being hired to the position. Just have to get my resume together and apply. With my history of supervisory positions, I may stand a good chance. Restaurants, military, charge nurse positions through the years. It would not surprise me if it would require more training in Colorado. Not that I would mind that with the right timing. Not so good if it happened during daughter's summer vacation.
Still, I am thinking more about finishing the wood shop and getting that idea off the ground. Also considering pursuing the idea of selling motor scooters. Now may be a good time. Lots of empty locations for business in my area. Something I could begin as a broker and ramp up fairly gradually.
Waiting to see what my paycheck looks like this Friday. Got an email that I'll receive a back payment for a previous pay increase which I wasn't even aware had happened. Add that to work slowly increasing back to normal, so my case count is rising but not quite normal yet. Plus my federal tax refund is supposed to be deposited this Friday. Not enough yet for the engine but getting closer. Still working on bringing mortgage current first of all.
I still need to till the garden and finish burning weeds. Thinking of ordering a few tons of composted wood chips next week, get things in shape to avoid weeds as much as possible this year. Plus till some of the wood chips in because the soil is still really hard. Tried tilling a bit on Monday but need to saturate the ground first. Can't set up the well pump yet because too much risk of freezing which could rupture the pump. So, have to start off with municipal water.
Okay, need to get to bed.
