More than 24 hours

So, I've made it more than 24 hours with no nicotine from any source. For the first time in 40 years.

Bit of a turnaround. Historically, it has been the absolute hardest for me to stop smoking while working. That wasn't so hard today. It actually got a bit more difficult after work. Guess just more time to think about it. Plus eating dinner.

Still haven't given in. I really believe if I get past the physical (especially brain chemistry) withdrawal, I'll be okay. Might pick up a habit of sucking on sugar free mints a lot, at least for a while.

Best thing is I got through the day without ripping any heads off. Came close at one point on a 20 minute call that should have taken under 4 minutes. First a nurse and then a doctor. The doctor wanted to speak for another 20 minutes when I only needed a one word answer to one question. When he finally spoke that one word (in the middle of a drawn out diatribe), I did interrupt him and said, "That was the one and only word you needed to say. The ONE word." So, for that call, I effectively got paid 10 cents a minute. If I had too many callers like that I wouldn't even be making minimum wage.

Don't know what the deal is. Work is still a little slow. I'm guessing it just has to do with winter weather. Making my base 70 but not much more than that. If it ever picks up, I'm sure I'll be able to hit my goal of 90 cases a day average.

Baked two more small buckets of soil this evening. Not gonna lie, that does not smell very good. However, I can plant tomato seeds and maybe a few other things tomorrow.
