Spent about 3 hours outside. Hot as hell. Then I made it hotter by burning scrap.
That's okay. Everything that needed to be burned is now burned. Nothing else remains.
However, now I am wiped out.
Decided I am going to spend the rest of the daytime working inside the house. Get it all in order, take pictures and get the house listed tomorrow. I can keep working on the yard after that.
First, I think I will take a short nap.
Oh. Maybe not yet. I need to go to Walgreens for more ephedrine. Do that and then take a nap. Very possible I feel tired from bronchitis after breathing smoke from burning stuff. The wind was blowing a bit and there was no place in the yard immune from it.
Think I found out what is wrong with the apple trees. While they do form taproots, if bought from a nursery the taproot is cut and it forms more fibrous roots. So it requires more frequent watering. I have not been running the irrigation this year and it has barely rained at all. Add to that the fact that they are fairly sensitive to salt and it means the roots have been absorbing too much salt with too little water. Right now I am letting the hose run to water the apple trees. See how they look in a day or two.
Lots of plants in the area are suffering for the same reason. One of the grape vines has yellowing leaves. The plum tree has fruit on it already turning red but extremely tiny, they look like cherries instead of plums.
Not much I can do with all of this except water a few times and inform any potential buyers.
