So, finishing the tub took until about 4 PM. I used up both quarts of paint because I kept touching up and touching up. It was worth it. The tub and sink looks great. The wall looks a little less so but better than they did. Some of the tiles were slightly different colors, mostly white but a few slightly cream colored. Now it's all one color and the grout is all white.
Grouted the fireplace, which was not a small job. Then plastered the front which has needed to be done for decades where some of the plaster had chipped off. That happened before I moved in because it was painted over. I will have to paint that area.
Out of black interior paint, so think I will just get a quart. I ran through 2 gals of black paint in doing the house.
Touched up white paint through the house, so that part is done.
Another reason I wanted to wait until tomorrow for the floors is that the paint fumes have been giving me a continuous low level bronchitis attack all day. That drains your energy really badly. To add to it, I will have to use ammonia for the floors with the polisher to strip old wax and crap off the floors. But I may try something else less noxious first. If the other stuff works, I'll leave the ammonia out of the picture. I just know the combination of paint fumes and ammonia would be too much for my lungs to take. I have no urge to be passed out on the floor alone.
Tomorrow morning I have to dispense with one more table I've been using. The old desk in the workshop. Not going to need it any more so it has to go.
