Grrrr

Today I finally tried to get the house listed for sale. Looks like I may go with a different agency.

I told the agent I was still doing final work on the house and that the yard needs work. He kept harping on that. Then he also insisted that the mural in daughter's room MUST be painted over. He also insisted the workshop MUST be a dining room.

This house has two living rooms right next to each other. I have used one as a dining room and the old dining room as the workshop.

So, when he brought some of these things up, I said it would take me 2-3 days. He told me to call next Monday.

WTF?

So, I am going to get a few more things done tomorrow. Then I am going to call some places that advertise that they buy houses. See what they offer. Never hurts to ask. I know they typically prey like vultures on people who are in tight conditions, like being on the edge of foreclosure. Not a position I am in. But I can still ask.

If nothing comes from that, I will do like the agent says and get it on the market. He claims it takes 45 days for a house to close. I don't think it even took 45 days to close my mortgage and my situation was very atypical. Took the ex only 28 days to close on their house.

Any way, I cleaned the oven today. I had cleaned the inside but the outside looked horrible because I had neglected it for a long time while doing other stuff. Took a long time to clean, especially under the cook top. I had not cleaned there in a long, long time. But came up with a mixture that worked better than anything I've ever tried. Grease cutter and oxygen cleaner together. That seriously dissolved everything. Yet did not tear my skin to pieces. Cool!

Replaced all of the outlet covers. Which required a trip to Home depot. Okay, not all the covers. a couple of outlets are in tight spaces and the covers I'm using are larger than average. So those did not get changed. They are not in conspicuous places.

When I moved in this house, I think there were less than 20 outlets and no outside outlets at all. Now there are 46 outlets, including 3 outside. 8 of those are GFCI outlets. Also, there were no GFCI outlets here when I moved in.

Here are a few pics of how the house looks now.
