Early rise

Managed to get to sleep last night. Beer helped. Only had two. With Benadryl and cannabis.

Have to get out and work on the yard for a while before it gets too hot.

Happily the floors were dry enough to walk on in sock feet. I really need my morning medications. Not going to risk walking on the floors too much. Though it should primarily be dry because I applied the sealant with the paint sprayer. I did have a scant amount of pooling in spots.

Really congested this morning. I wore a mask while applying the sealant and for a while after. Maybe not long enough? Or just the fumes affected me during the night.

Oh, well. The floors look really good. I am proud of that job! They look better than when I moved in, which was the goal.

So, even if I do not get all that much done in the yard before it gets too hot, I will move efforts inside and then do more outside in the evening as the sun is going down. One big trick is avoiding working next to the hottest walls of the house. So mostly do the back yard in the morning (which is in shade now) and the front in the evening (which is in shade at that time). Working in the yard itself is not the bad part. It's the stored heat coming from the walls that increases the heat. My outdoor thermometer reads up to 130 degrees every day. That's because of reflected and stored heat.

This evening I have to add to the heat because I have to burn a bunch of remaining scrap wood. But I can add wood and walk away until I have to add more. Keep an eye on it so I don't have another grass fire. The previous area where grass burned is barely visible, turning green.

Today I have to take down the picnic table. It's unstable or I would leave it or give it away. That's sad. That was something I built shortly after moving in. I already had to take down the seesaw and paint over several mural paintings. These things do affect you.
