2014

So, it's a new year. Looking promising so far!

Long list of things to do today. Feeling better than yesterday but can still feel something off. Never did drink any of that beer last night. Got to bed before midnight.

Waiting for the house to warm up. Have a problem with the furnace. Doesn't always start up like it should. It's safe, just runs through the pre-ignition, then shuts down without going into the main cycle. Think it may be a sensor need to be replaced or adjusted. It just doesn't always warm the house before I wake up.

I admit I have reached a point where I get more lonely than I used to. Large part of that is because of working at home. Not much human contact. Worse in winter, since not much time outside and days are so short.

To that, I am conducting a small experiment. Times have changed and the social structure here is far removed from anyplace I have ever seriously dated. Not to mention my own standards evolving over time. Or I have had blinders on. Then again, I don't think my blinders were that strong, when I look at mainstream media. Women used to look for men that respected them. It doesn't seem that way so much any more. In general, women seem much more drawn to men that are just short of abusive. Sometimes not even short of abusive. So, I am placing several single's ads. Some similarities but ultimately quite opposite. One is nice and the other is far from it. Just curious which gets the most responses and seeing what common traits there are for each one. Age, race, education level, etc. I'd be more interested in serious responses to the nice ad but that doesn't mean I may not act on the right response to the other ad.

I do fully believe the weight of responses has a lot to do with local social structure and education level.
