More winterizing

The further I get the house sealed up from major things, the more I am able to identify less obvious issues.

One thing I know about now. I need to do some caulking in a not so expected place. The baseboard on one side of the big living room. Somehow, I have a draft coming from there. I think there is a gap between the concrete on the outside and the other wall. That area never gets sunlight in winter. What causes the problem is warm air rising, which draws cold air in through the gap. Okay, so I'll seal it up with some silicone or latex caulking.

That areas wasn't so obvious before the insulation was installed.

Think I need to replace some of the weather stripping on some of the windows this year.

Good thing about the time change. My body hasn't adapted yet. So I'm awake at what was the previous normal time. Gives me a small advance on the day. Think it helped me sleep better last night, too.

Only two more weeks and I'll have my dentures! I'm both excited and nervous. Of course, I'm nervous about pain and swelling for the first few days. Not sure how well I'll be able to eat or talk. I already warned my daughter that I'm not sure how I will feel that weekend. I have a high pain tolerance but never had 9 teeth pulled at once before. I'm expecting to look like a boxer after a fight. But most of the teeth are on the bottom, so that may be an advantage. Have to wait and see. I have plenty of protein powder on hand in case I can't chew. Plus potato flakes. Can always make soup, too.
