Learning from my daughter

Today, daughter wanted to pick up trash around the neighborhood park. So, that's what we did. She's been wanting a pick-up tool for some time, so got her one today and she used that. I picked things up manually. Good exercise.

So, I'm learning from her about conservation. She has a good grasp of the concept but did have questions about how we started using waste dumps. I was able to explain what is good and bad about them to a good degree.

Also got her a Venus Fly Trap today. She's wanted one for a while and I saw them at Walmart a few days ago. What kid doesn't want one of those around 11 years old?

She also helped me put tomato plants in larger containers. Did 4 more and now I'm out of buckets. Have to ask at Albertson's this coming week.

I also got a new shovel, got the rose bush in the ground. Daughter collected earth worms while I was digging and started a worm farm.

Her grasp of ecology is impressive and keeps growing.
