Grand Canyon

Just got back from a rather quick trip to the Grand Canyon with daughter. Left Sat, came back today. We also saw the Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, Little Colorado Gorge, Bearizona and a bridge just feet off the beaten track which most people just drive past without stopping. I love old bridges.

The day we went to the Canyon turned out to be the foggiest day any of the Rangers could remember. Great. We were afraid the fog would never lift but it finally did in the early afternoon. We didn't get to see a whole lot of the Canyon but did see a couple of viewing points. So, barely saved from another Scott Griswald moment.

Daughter and I kept kidding around before we got there, "Still not seeing a canyon!" Then we got there and it was so foggy we could not see beyond the edge while standing feet away from a 1000 plus foot drop. We kept nudging each other and saying, "Still not seeing a canyon!"

It was a busy three days but well worth it.
