Kale

Had a bit more kale growing than I thought. Harvested 8 plastic grocery bags of it! Now all I have to do is find a way to cook it so it doesn't suck. Actually, the taste isn't bad, just too strong for me. Going to try cooking, draining and then seasoning. Maybe draining it will make it less intense. Then again, what can you really say about a vegetable that even the aphids, grasshoppers and cabbage moth didn't touch?

If I can't find a decent way to cook it, I'll give it to my friend that has lots of rabbits.

Trimmed the grass where the kale and carrots were all harvested. Then turned off the irrigation system and sprayed the whole area with grass and weed killer. Spraying in the evening isn't the best time but the temperature is still above 80, so it should absorb. If it's warm enough in the morning, I may spray again. Then I can plant seeds in the evening.

Broke my shovel yesterday, so need to get a new one. Oh, well. That one was  years old. Maybe I can get a new handle for it. Have to check Harbor Freight.

Tomorrow is my one year anniversary on the job! Yay! Still enjoying the job, except for IT problems and rude people, both of which are understandable to be less than enthusiastic about.

Going to get to bed soon. Overall, my health is good but I still get tired and overheated all too easily. Seriously not normal for me because I've always been energetic and had a really high tolerance for heat. This sucks.
