More rain, thunder and lightning last night. This time, it actually lasted several hours. Came down hard for a short while but mostly slowed down.
Even with the weed problem, I'm not going to complain. It's decreasing fire danger and the local drama on that front. However, being New Mexico, of course the drama just kicks in on the opposite side. You don't hear any positive statements about it helping to cool things down, decrease fire danger or recharge water supplies. Honestly, there is a lot of flooding but they don't build things to withstand rains (for a place that always talks about their "monsoon season").
For me, it is helping to continue to improve the soil condition. I may have more weeds to deal with in the short term but the positives in the long term are much greater.
