Finally able to make a dental appointment. Have to schedule it way out, more than a month. I could have it sooner but I want the appointment for a Fri, so my mouth has the weekend to heal before work.
Couple of down sides to that. One is that I have a cavity that's starting to give me trouble. I'll have to get some temporary filling material for it to hold me until then. Do that tonight. Not too bad yet. The other is that I probably won't be a lot of fun for daughter that weekend. On the other hand, I will be much more pleasant once I get my teeth pulled and get some dentures.
Scheduling that far out does give me a chance to conserve some money. Maybe pick up some extra hours before then. I want to get as many teeth pulled as possible in one trip. If all goes well, I should be able to get the money together for dentures within one month after that.
An added expense to plan for is that I should buy another tub of protein powder in advance. If I have a lot of teeth pulled at once, I won't be eating much actual food for a few days.
Already chosen where I want to get dentures from. Picked them out because dentures is all they do. It is a chain and I have read some very bad reviews for other locations but no bad reviews for this location. Most of the bad complaints are from Eastern states. I do know this location has been here several years, so that's not the reason for lack of bad reviews. I've been considering this place for a couple of years now (but haven't had the money).
It would be really nice if I can afford new teeth before the holidays.
