Blueberry preserves

Started my first shot at making blueberry preserves this evening. Had bought a lot of blueberries while they were on sale for the lowest price I have ever seen. It's in the fridge right now. Came out a bit thin but I added some guar gum and see how it looks in the morning.

Happy to say both blueberry bushes are still alive which I have in containers. They're looking pretty healthy and bushing out.

Going to be doing a lot of starting things from cuttings soon. Some from the blueberries. Learned the abandoned house across the street has a seedless green grape vine, so going to take some cuttings from that. It had never produced until this year that I've seen. Doing so now because of getting enough rain. Fruit is small but the vine has not been irrigated, trimmed or fertilized in years. Also planning on taking cuttings from red and purple crape myrtle trees along Unser Blvd which are in the center island.

Learned a lot in the last few years and getting much better at growing things from cuttings now. The tomato vine I started from a cutting has really taken off and needs to go in a larger pot soon. That confirms tomatoes from cuttings grow much faster than seed, so I'll be doing a lot more propagation that way from now on.
