Lots of rain!

Had lots of rain this afternoon. Rained really hard with lots of lightning for a while.

Road near my house had been blocked off for several weeks, allegedly to work on drainage for the area, which is notorious as being the most flood prone road in the entire county, has been on the news many times. Road re-opened yesterday and I rode down it on my bike. The road was no better and may have been worse than before they blocked it off. Then today they had a report on the evening news. The road over near Coors was completely submerged under several feet of water. I wrote a response to the report online and they actually said they're going to look into it! Nice!

This doesn't affect me directly. I admit the drainage in my immediate neighborhood is much better than when I moved in. Been at least 2 years since I have seen what I referred to as "Lake Aaron Court". However, a mile down the road is so much worse and there is no rationale for the road being closed for weeks and nothing at all being done.

Hmm. Raining again as I write this. Sounds like it's raining hard. Took a look. Yep, really hard. Lots of lightning, too.

Got the grape cuttings planted today. Kind of excited to see if they grow! This isn't the normal time of year for starting grape cuttings but hoping they do sprout roots. It will take at least three years for them to grow and mature enough to produce grapes.

Finishing this on the tablet. Lightning just flashed everything in the house and computer takes a while to restart.

I am hopeful for all the cuttings because the blueberry and Crape Myrtle cuttings are looking good so far. Especially the blueberry cuttings.  If I can get certain things to propagate well instead of having to buy plants, I'll be really happy and proud! Who knows? Could turn into an extra income someday.  If not, at least I hope to have lots of fruit and flowers.
