Daughter and I had a lazy day again. I don't push her. She's entitled to one lazy day a week.
She had her choir performance yesterday. She had fun. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to watch. Her choir is also practicing dancing while they perform, which is going to be exciting for future shows! She is happy and excited about it. At first she scoffed a little but that turned around very quickly.
Yesterday I ran into a problem. Went to the store and my debit card was declined. I figured it was their system. Then it was declined at a restaurant. Finally got to an ATM and it said my debit card was locked by the bank due to "suspicious activity on the account". Took me multiple attempts but finally got a human on the phone. (The automated system offered no help at all.) Turned out the problem was because I shopped at a store whose data was breached "sometime in the past YEAR". They had a year to respond to this, failed to send me a new card, call me, email me or anything like that. Instead they lock my account on a Saturday, when the bank is closed and their "fraud specialists" are on skeleton crew. At this point I have ripped into them from every direction possible. So NOW they're going to do what they should have done to begin with- send me a new card. Allegedly sending it express mail (which could have been done by standard mail if they had handled this the way they should have) but I'll wait and see about that.
I got many of the tomato plants in the ground yesterday. I was afraid I had damaged some of the roots pretty badly but I guess not. Today the ones in the ground looked as well or better than the ones still in containers.
One of my cannabis plants died off. However, it appears that a second one has rooted in a pot which had only one seed. I think because I have the stem fairly horizontal in the soil. It decided it would grow another stem! That's cool. Good way to expand the number of plants. That would be a good one when it grows larger to clone. Or wait and see if it grows two main stems which both flower.
Did some reading about growing the lavender. Different opinions on stratifying abound. Some say it increases germination and others say it has no effect. However, they apparently require very little stratifying, as little as one day. So, holding off on planting. I have the seeds in the freezer right now.
Because of the bank's antics, the wisteria is not ordered as I thought. Payment was suspended. I'm pissed. If the nursery runs out of stock before I have a new card, I don't know when I'll be able to order it again.
Lots of other plants in pots are coming up. Need to start moving them gradually outside.
