Been having big problems with fatigue lately. Also been having problems with digestion and heat tolerance.
Long story short, figured something out last night. I have a fungal (Candidiasis) infection. While the most common problems I have seen leading to the diagnosis involve problems swallowing, I have not had that.
Can't afford a doctor. So, started taking steps to treat it as best I can at home for now, until I can get to a doctor. Feel better this morning but have to keep treating it to at least keep it at bay.
It's no big surprise that I have this. Celiac disease interferes with absorption if some nutrients into the body. I have also been taking antihistamines, which can increase the chances of getting it. Toss in 18 years of nursing (and maybe gardening as well) and it was almost a sure bet. Kind of funny I would get it after being celibate for four years because that's the most common route of transmission.
Have to up my vitamin intake for some things. The infection can further block the absorption of the same vitamins which cause susceptibility. That can ultimately mead to B12, folate and iron deficiency. All that leads to chronic fatigue, anemia, digestive problems and heat intolerance. (Plus depression, mood swings and other things.)
