Daughter and I were both lazy for a good part of the day today. Then I got out, cleaned the pool and told her she could go swimming if she wanted. Shortly after, she put on her swimsuit and went out to the pool. I followed shortly after that.
After a while, I got out of the pool, put some old scrubs over my swimsuit and did some work in the garden.
Lightning came up and I made her exit the pool. However, we stayed outside, enjoying the drizzle and wind. I continued working in the garden. She picked stray carrots and some grapes. Plus one small pumpkin. Played with the oldest dog. (The younger ones are too unruly even for her.)
Watched some TV, read several chapters of a book we've been reading for a while. She was falling asleep and still wanted to keep reading. She is an excellent reader but still enjoys me reading to her.
Yesterday, we went to an open space which she wants to return to later. Also went to Tingley Beach, fed the ducks and geese, tried fishing. She got a bite but the line broke and it got away. She also caught two butterflies.
Been a pretty good weekend.
