Feeling a bit better. Still no appetite. Only thing I've been able to tolerate today has been a protein shake at half strength, a few hands full of popcorn and a piece of gluten free cake.
Got outside and trimmed the grape vines and apple tree. Saved Zinnia seeds and cut down the dead plants. Took cuttings from both apple trees and the plum tree. Got them in potting soil. Used honey as a rooting hormone.
I had thought what happened was what I ate for dinner last night. Then I remembered something else. I wasn't hungry last night. I pretty much forced myself to eat dinner. So this was probably something which began before I ate dinner.
So, I was rather surprised at just how fast I was progressing with circuit weights. I had never lifted that much weight with one arm before. Doing free weights at home tonight, it made a bit more sense. The weight is not total when lifting one side. Instead, it's a little over 70 lbs for each arm. That's okay. Slight blow to my ego but not much, since I was suspicious. But it does mean I'm about back where I was a few years ago. If I can advance to 160 lbs total, I will be beyond my previous level. Hoping to reach that this week. If I can advance another 15 lbs next week, it will mean a more serious advance. As it is, I'm building some decent muscle mass.
Admittedly, free weights are better than circuit weights for truly useable muscle. But getting primary mass and definition built is good on circuit weights. Moving to free weights will mean dropping total weight because supporting muscle won't be as built up. However, they will build up more quickly if main muscle groups are already strengthened.
Of course, the main object is just getting back in shape and progressing to the best condition I can reach.
