Feeling better

Feeling a lot better today than yesterday. Pretty sure I had some level of infection from some source in my system. Unless I just worked out so hard Thur night that I caused extensive muscle breakdown. Either is possible. Or just sleep deprivation. I did feel better after a nap. Whatever. It's over.

Haven't gotten up and moving yet. Get on it in a few minutes. Waiting to hear something from the person selling the monitor but sent my cell number and can check email intermittently.

Been struggling with how to mount the cameras on the roof. It's problematic especially on the southeast corner but also the northeast a bit less. Cinder block, an angled inner surface, otherwise I only have roof surface to use to mount the camera at one site. For best view, the camera needs to be raised a few feet above the roof surface. On the other corner, I only have the chimney to mount the camera. So, what I've decided is to use wood posts set in cinder block with concrete. In really high winds, it does increase risk of them being knocked over. But if I use rounded posts and the bottom is sufficiently weighted it probably won't happen. That will also offer the advantage of being able to move the cameras to different sites if necessary for best coverage.

The back camera is not a problem. Lots of options for mounting with existing pipes and only one camera is needed to cover the whole back yard. Biggest concern being the gate and interim area between the gate and the house.

Thought about testing visual field of the cameras today but I'll just wait. It would only be an estimate. Better off just getting them on the roof, placing them in assumed positions and then checking the view on the monitor and adjusting as necessary. Better than dealing with 60 ft of loose cable until I get them on the roof.

Many times in my life I have made the comment that I could have a nicotine fit even while smoking a cigarette. This is true. I have been known to be chain smoking to a degree that I became nauseous, yet still had the urge to smoke more. Never made any sense to me until this last year. Now I understand that this was not my body wanting more nicotine, it was a result of the control of inflammation which the nicotine gave. Toxins being forced into my bloodstream.

I've learned to some degree to reduce that inflammation by other means. Still smoking too much for my own good. I would like to reduce that before I have major repercussions. At this point, I don;t have any direct problems related to smoking. I've learned even if I have some shortness of breath (which I used to attribute to allergies because it only occurs intermittently with no external stress or exertion), it is related to things going on with my gut. Once I address that, it goes away very rapidly. And while my lungs aren't as strong as they once were, I still have more lung power than 98 percent of people my age. That's both in forced output and lung volume for my size. Only time you'll see me doing pursed lip breathing is if I'm doing some hard hiking in the mountains.
