Slightly thinner pay

Pay went in this morning. Slightly thinner check than I'm used to making recently. Slow calls and IT problems made it drop. Still above base pay, though.

I did still have money roll over from last check in the bank. Not as much as I had hoped but not complaining. I will hold off on paying a couple of bills until next check. The mid-month check tends to be utility payments, first check is child support, mortgage and storage.

I budget $300 per check for living expenses. I don't tend to spend that much on groceries, so that encompasses food, gas, cigarettes and some entertainment. It's typically enough. That in mind, I should be able to add more this check to what rolled over from last check.

Just trying to get into the habit of growing the amount rolling over. It's been fairly static. However, that is because I've been getting things done. So, while money in the bank is good, getting other things in order is also good. As far as the insulation, it should help decrease utility bills at least a little.

I have noted the temperature in the house remains more stable now. Used to be it would be cool in the morning then heat up quite a bit in late afternoon. This week, I haven't had to run the swamp cooler at all. Not even the portable one, which I use during work when it heats up. So that's a good sign.

So, I have enough that I can afford to get the small cement mixer from Harbor Freight. That will speed up the building of the front ramp and (less so) the solarium. I should have both done in the next two weeks.
