This was actually written on Fri, 06 Dec 2013 but I left it in draft status. Just found out this morning.
Today was a rough day. Unbelievable number of people seemed completely lost. Tech problems on and off all day. Wound up with over 90 cases but not nearly as many as I was hoping for. Still, a bit of extra money on next check.
Temp last night dropped to 12 degrees. More than 10 degrees colder than the forecast predicted. Looks like my prediction of sub-zero temps this winter may come true sooner than I expected. I wasn't expecting it until January. Now won't be surprised if it happens this month.
Even with the low temp, my steps have worked to keep water going have worked well.
I placed a space heater in the solarium for the dogs. It's working and keeping them comfortable. I turn it off during the day, once the sun is hitting the solarium.
I also have the dryer venting into the solarium for heat reclamation. Didn't think about the effects of the humidity in the cold. Walked out earlier and the solarium was filled with fog!
Last night, recalled previous years here and lying under multiple blankets and still shivering until my body heat warmed the bed up enough to sleep.
