Comfort investments

Over the next year, I am going to invest in some more improvements for comfort.

Went out to close up the solarium. Some of the plastic has already torn. I admit, my fault for poor installation. It should last through this winter with some patching, though. Glad it's not dropping down too cold yet. The dog has remained comfortable with some innovations.

Over the next year, I will be building the previously mentioned heater in the solarium. In addition, I will be adding lighting and start gradually transitioning to clear polycarbonate panels. Fairly expensive but lasts. Very happy to say the price of those panels has actually decreased in the past couple of years. Still not going to be cheap. It will take a minimum of 22 panels to cover the whole top and some of the sides. Plus more cross beams to anchor them. However, it will be worth it in the long run.

Down side. I have to wait and find out what the ex and her husband are going to do. If they are going to move, there's not much point in doing these improvements.
